Which level is for me?
Both levels cover grammar and vocabulary in alternating units. The difference is how much precision is expected of you – and which exam you are heading towards.
Destination B1
Intermediate · PET · IELTS 5.0–5.5
Choose B1 if you can already hold an everyday conversation but still hesitate over tenses, prepositions and the passive.

Destination B2

Grammar and vocabulary units alternate, exactly as in the printed syllabus, so language you meet in a grammar unit comes back in the topic unit that follows.

A study plan that fits one week
One unit a week is the pace we recommend. Spread over four short sessions it takes under two hours, and the spacing is what makes the language stay.
Every fourth week, skip the new unit and revisit the three before it instead. Revision beats speed.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need the printed book to use these pages?
No. Each unit page is complete on its own: the explanation, the practice and the answers are all on the page. If you do own the book, the units follow the same order, so the two work well side by side.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Free, with no account and no sign-up. Open a unit and start. Your answers stay in your own browser – nothing is submitted anywhere.
Should I start with B1 or B2?
If you are preparing for B1 Preliminary or IELTS 5.0–5.5, start with B1. If you are aiming at First or IELTS 6.0–6.5 and rarely make basic tense errors, start with B2. Still unsure? Take the placement test – it takes about fifteen minutes and gives you a level straight away.
How are my answers checked?
Marking happens in the page itself the instant you press check. Gap-fill answers accept the usual alternatives and contractions, and each item shows the correct form with a one-line explanation.
How often do new units appear?
New units are published every week, in order. B1 currently has 12 of 26 units online and B2 has 3 of 26. Bookmark this page – it always lists everything that is live.
