No. Open any test, do it, press Check, get your score. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to install. That also means your results are not stored – note down scores you want to track.

The site’s teacher – a Master’s-qualified English teacher and former university lecturer, now living in Canada – writes and reviews everything, following the official format of each exam. Materials are original, not copies of past papers. Full details are on the editorial policy page.

Tests score themselves in your browser the moment you press Check, against a reviewed answer key that accepts standard alternative answers and spellings. Timed tests also convert raw scores to the exam’s scale (for example, an IELTS band) where the exam publishes a conversion.

As many times as you like – reload the page and it resets. For an honest measure, wait a few weeks before repeating the same test, or use the next test in the same book.

No. Every test is an original AllEnglish4U practice set written in the official format of the exam – same parts, question types, counts and timing – so practising here transfers to the real thing without republishing copyrighted papers.

Short version: children aged 6–12 follow the Cambridge ladder (kids path); adults proving general English aim at B1 Preliminary; university admission usually means IELTS; Canadian immigration accepts CELPIP or IELTS General (Canada path). When in doubt, start with a placement test.

You submit a real IELTS Task 1 or Task 2 answer; the examiner engine marks it against the official band descriptors and the teacher reviews the report before you receive it. You get a band for each criterion, your priority errors quoted and corrected, a model rewrite at your target band, and a study plan. See the sample report.

Because a person is involved: every report is checked by the teacher before release. The fee (from $3) covers that time and keeps the rest of the site free.

Deliberately not. When a script sits between two bands, the report gives the lower one. An inflated practice band feels nice for a day and then wastes months of your preparation.

Marking is automated, review is human, so reports normally come back within a day – often much faster. The report page shows current status.

Pages are ad-light, require no accounts and collect nothing from the child. Young children get more from the tests when a parent sits with them – the kids path includes a simple weekly routine designed for that.
