1 Tier 1 – The Concept & Nuance: Advanced Passive Patterns
The passive can be formed in all major tenses by applying the appropriate form of be followed by the past participle.
🔄 Continuous Passives (being done)
– Present continuous: am/is/are + being + V3 (“My car is being repaired”).
– Past continuous: was/were + being + V3 (“The road was being resurfaced”).
– Past continuous: was/were + being + V3 (“The road was being resurfaced”).
