1 Tier 1 – The Concept & Nuance: Cardinals, Ordinals & Pronunciation Stress

Mastering numbers requires recognizing the critical syllable stress between -teen (13–19) and -ty (30–90), as well as using ordinal numbers correctly for dates and rankings.

3 Tier 3 – Top 3 Common Learner Pitfalls

Rule: Do not add -s to hundred, thousand, million after specific numbers.

My birthday is on the three of May.
My birthday is on the third of May (May 3rd).

Rule: Always use ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th…) for calendar dates.

forty is spelled fourty.
40 is spelled forty (no ‘u’).

Rule: Four and fourteen have ‘u’, but forty drops the ‘u’.
