A Some verbs do two jobs

A few verbs change meaning. As a state → present simple. As an action → present continuous.

think🔁 I think it’s good. (opinion)  ·  ⚡ I‘m thinking about it. (considering)
have🔁 She has a car. (own)  ·  ⚡ We‘re having lunch. (eating)
see🔁 I see what you mean. (understand)  ·  ⚡ I‘m seeing the doctor. (meeting)
taste🔁 It tastes good. (state)  ·  ⚡ He‘s tasting it. (action)

B am / is / are being

Use being when you talk about how someone is behaving right now — not their permanent character.

You‘re being very kind today. (now)
🔁 She is a kind person. (character)
He‘s being silly. (behaving)
I’m being hungry. → I am hungry.

C always + -ing = “too often!”

We use the continuous with always to complain that something happens too often.

😤 He‘s always losing his keys! (annoying)
🔁 He always loses at chess. (neutral fact)
📌
Remember — verbs like think, have, see, taste, feel can be simple (state) or continuous (action) depending on meaning. Being = behaving now. always + -ing = a habit that annoys you.
