Why fourteen days, and not thirty?
Because thirty-day plans are abandoned on day six, and both of us know it. Fourteen days is short enough that a working adult can actually see the end of it from the start – and long enough to break the habit of studying about IELTS instead of taking it.
The commitment is exact: 14 days · about 20 minutes each · 14 tasks that mark themselves. That is under five hours in total. If five hours across two weeks is not available, this is honestly not the right time, and no email sequence will fix that.
There is also nothing to keep up with. No live class, no timetable, no group you fall behind in. Miss a day and the next email still arrives – the sequence does not scold you and does not restart.
The one thing it does insist on: every task is done honestly. One play of the audio. No dictionary. A score you got with help tells you nothing you can use.

The second objection
If the practice is free, why does the test cost $10?
Because a machine marks the practice and a person reads the report.
Marking a gap-fill costs nothing, so it is free, and it will stay free for as long as this site exists. Reading your writing, deciding which of the four criteria is genuinely holding your band down, and writing a plan around your actual deadline takes a teacher about half an hour. That is what the $10 pays for – and it is the reason the report arrives in three business days rather than three seconds.
You will be asked for it exactly once, on Day 14, after two weeks of getting things for free. If the answer is no, the emails still finish and the 645 pages are still there.

Who is on the other end
A note from the person who built this
My name is Haeng Bui. All English 4U is one teacher and a lot of code, and I am the teacher. I hold an MSc and a BA in English Language, I spent three years as a university lecturer before I moved to Canada, and more than five thousand students – from six-year-olds sitting Starters to adults chasing Band 7 – have studied with me.
I have also sat on the candidate’s side of the desk. Studying, testing and immigrating through English is not theory for me: it is the road I actually travelled to become a permanent resident of Canada. So I know exactly what it feels like to have a deadline, a full-time job, and a language test standing between you and the thing you actually want.
That is also why the site is built the way it is. I cannot sit with everyone, so I built something that can: exercises that mark themselves, reports that get written whether or not I am awake, and a price list short enough to read in ten seconds. When something does need a human, it says so, it costs more, and there are only four of them a week – because there is only one of me.
If you reply to any of the fourteen emails, it comes to me. I read them.
