1 Tier 1 – The Concept & Nuance: Habits & Universal Truths

We use the Present Simple (I work, they live) to talk about things in general, regular habits, routines, or facts that are always true.

2 Tier 2 – The 3rd Person (-s / -es / -ies) Spelling Rules

3 Tier 3 – Top 3 Common Learner Pitfalls

He live in London.
He lives in London.

Rule: Never forget the third-person -s with he / she / it.

She always is late. (word order)
She is always late. (or She always arrives late)

Rule: Adverbs of frequency go AFTER the verb be, but BEFORE normal verbs.

My brother work in a bank.
My brother works in a bank.

Rule: Singular noun subjects (My brother = he) take works.
