The children had come from three nearby schools, and the room was full of quiet excitement. Leo and Ava made a small station from cardboard and painted hills from folded paper. Before the doors opened, the museum guide placed the train at the start of the track. Leo checked that every piece was connected, while Ava put three wooden benches beside the station. At half past two, the visitors gathered around the large table. The guide switched on the small controller, and the train moved slowly past the station. It crossed a short bridge, went through a tunnel and stopped beside a paper tree. Everyone clapped when it returned to the beginning without coming off the track.
