Common mistakes

  • Reading the object name but missing its colour or position.
  • Counting too quickly before checking the entire scene.
  • Writing more than one word in Part 5.
  • Forgetting that the first letter is already provided in Part 3.

Teacher tip

Encourage young learners to look closely at every picture detail before deciding on an answer. Make sure they note the difference between true and false statements in Part 1 and Part 2. In Part 3, remind them that the first letter is already given, and in Part 5, write only one word per answer line.
