Comparatives

When we compare two things, we use comparative forms. Change the form of the adjective and add the word than.

Rules: add -er for one-syllable (long→longer); for short adjectives ending in vowel+consonant double the consonant (hot→hotter); for those ending in y change to i and add -er (happy→happier); add more before adjectives with two or more syllables (difficult→more difficult); irregular: good→better, bad→worse.
